Yes it is nearer - I live just north of Blackpool. However I am willing to travel if a few people fancy getting together (obviously once you get to know me a bit better). I don't know if this is the sort of thing you guys do, but I believe the best way to build relationships with like minded people is to actually meet them, maybe do some sort of activity (plant identification etc). If nothing else I find it 'cathartic' to be able to talk openly to people who wont actually think I am ready for the 'funny farm'smileyt wrote:Any friend of Hobo's .... must be bonkers

just because I store food, have far too many lights (solar and battery) that are not used, hundreds of candles, have more stored water bottles than even my OH knows about 
Hobo and I live on opposite coasts - I am less than a 10 min walk from the beach - and I believe he is too. However I would willingly travel half way across the country to spend the day with him in plant identification etc.
