Are having a grand opening in my area tomorrow. Anything there really worth looking at from a prep point of view ? I have the following covered.
Lighting
Cooking
Water Filtration
Home Defence
Sanitation
Am I missing something obvious here that I need to grab in their opening day specials ?

Re: Go Outdoors
Some pop up tents can be useful, if the heating goes off just put them up in the house and sleep in them, sounds daft I know, but the reduced area that requires heat will keep you warm at night.
I really should have a trip around the Gloucester store sometime, is it the one opposite the Anglo-Asian cultural centre in Barton Street?

I haven't been on that side of town for a while, so will have to try a weekend trip, I actually managed to drive past Attwoolls today, something that rarely happens, the van tends to drift across the carriageway and into their carparkpreppingsu wrote:Yes, what used to be the old B&Q. Free parking as well.
Re: Go Outdoors
Got a nice Rab down jacket there a few weeks ago, about £100 off, but couldnt look at the tents there because the snow had shut the outdoor bit,
I'm in Area 7 !

When the kids were little we used to go there as an afternoon trip and go in all the tents!the-gnole wrote:I haven't been on that side of town for a while, so will have to try a weekend trip, I actually managed to drive past Attwoolls today, something that rarely happens, the van tends to drift across the carriageway and into their carparkpreppingsu wrote:Yes, what used to be the old B&Q. Re: Go Outdoors
Look out for the bargain bins if you go there again Sue
,
Back to "Go outdoors" multi-buys etc can be useful, especially gas cannisters.

Re: Go Outdoors
Thanks for the ideas.
Apart from pop up tents I seem to be covered. White Wolf the Drastic Plastic is a no no anyway, I'm trying to pay the bugger off as fast as I can. (or was, thanks ex employer, here's hoping my insurance is honoured)
In my current situation I don't really see them having anything we need to bust a gut about then.

Re: Go Outdoors
Or support your local independent shop staffed by people who know and care about what they sell!
I went to Go Outdoors today to spend over £200 on kit and they were most unhelpful and my Go Outdoors card had expired and they said I needed to buy a new one- so I said bye. I they went to my local shop who gave me 20% discount as I was Dofe and very helpful!
Never again!
