Cat food pouches

Post by Bladerunner »

I have cats and feed them with those foil pouches. They seem to be made of quite thick plastic/foil.

Does anyone know if you could wash them out and reseal them with a vacuum sealer. You wouldn't get a great deal in them, granted, but they could be used for small things like matches, tinder, plasters, tablets, etc. just to keep them dry if nothing else.

Just a thought, any advice is appreciated.

That could be a good idea. Can't answer the question though lol. Why not pinch the wifes straighteners and have a go :D :)

I might just do that Tom. What is the worst that could happen?

Well I suppose the foil could melt onto the straighteners, she could have a major strop with me, I could hit the bottle and end up in the spare room, we could start growing apart, she could say she still loves me but is not "IN" love with me. I could move out, end up in rented accomodation in a rough part of town, carry on hitting the bottle, end up losing the rented accomodation, wind up under a railway arch drinking cider out of a brown paper bag, get caught in a really cold snap and die of hyperthermia, sad, lonely and a shadow of the person I used to be. Buried in a paupers grave, my haunted soul tormented to walk the earth for all eternity.

I wonder where she keeps her straighteners?

I am going to be experimenting with this tomorrow. I just my Mylar bags and a sealer and have been saving up some Mylar type containers which had fruit smoothie in. They won't hold much but I am getting into my jerky making now and they should be ideal for small snack portions of that.

Will let you all know how I get on.

Jerky? I am jealous. My daughter brought me 3 big bags back from America earlier in the year. Love that stuff. What cut of meat do you use?

I just had a thought. Caprisun drinks. They are in a foil container and they are a bit bigger than the cat food pouches.

Have a great weekend and keep us posted on your success.
