I was looking up prices for Dutch Ovens and when I looked at the pictures available of it, I said to myself "thats a potjie pot" (used in South Africa).
I tried to find out information on what the exact differences are between the potjie and the dutch oven, however I'm useless at searching on the intenet and didn't come up with anything useful.
The link below tells you the history of the potjie pot and prices etc.

As I grew up with a potjie, I would definitely recommend it - can have a great cook out evening with family and friends over a open fire.
I will be adding this to my list of stuff to get this year.

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Nice-looking traditional camp cookware.
I guess the pots are virtually the same, what with the strong historical and cultural connections between Holland and South Africa (Dutch settlers etc.).
My dad went to SA, travelling for a whole month last autumn, and had the time of his life. Next time he goes I might go with him...

I got a security essentials message as well when I opened the link, had to click to clean the threat off the laptop.
