Hi there

Hi from windy, wet wales.

turns out that I've been a prepper for years and just didnt know it lol. After finding a site like this in the US, then watching the recent sky preppers prog, thought I really ought to get started, carried out an audit of the pantry and worked out at 8 weeks of food between the dry goods, tins and freezer. Guess I can blame the time spent in the mob and the 7 P's;

Proper
Prior
Preperation
Prevents
Piss
Poor
Performance
(Perhaps) lol

Its just me and my lad so no worries about bringing others on board. Next plan is to get water storage to the same level, before starting to build longer term stores up.

Got a growing interest in alternative energy supplies, and looking to replace our open fire with a gasbottle log burner next month, got the raw materials, just need to get the tank cut and then over to mates for welding. Then playing with an idea to run central heating off it, could be fun lol.

Anyhow looking forward to chatting with homeland based preppers.

Hi and welcome from down here in Oxfordshire! I hope you will post about your gas bottle heater as the project moves along. Sound like you already have the mentality and a lot of skills needed in case our world changes a lot.

Hello. You are living in my most favourite place - Wales :D

Without giving away your actual location, are you in the north or south of Wales?
