dont forget whilst theres still electrickty and internet you have the power of google for recipes and knowledge,
oh and dont forget drainage in your pots and try an raise them off ground in winter helps with reducing frost damage.
That is very true about the internet being a huge source of information but I always remember reading somewhere in my early prepping days, about building up a resource library (knowledge, skills etc). There is something quite special about picking up a book rather than accessing google! It also means you have something to pass onto children, grandchildren etc.
Also, without putting my tinfoil hat on there is too much scope to loose the information stored/online on the computer.
if there is something i want to keep (prepping wise) i print off a hard copy and keep in in a file. as regard to sales, i have just bought myself a "country classics" body warmer in my local market, full price £29.99 market price £15.
My problem is that I have hundreds of pieces of paper which I intend to put into a binder, but my memory is so bad that half the time I forget where I've put the stuff. I have however started a file for the Emergency Contact info; Home Evac Checklist and Food and Water Supplies Checklist.
I also have a little notebook that I write up notes in and pointers as I read through the hardcover books - hopefully once I've gained enough info and I can put the plans into action.

i get what your saying just that with money being tight for alot of people a few notebooks an pens is cheaper than buying the books.
same with libaries notes can be taken for little expense and saves having books cluttering space up.
i find it sinks in better too if you write it yourself.
Well I'm hoping to get a decent sun oven for less than £100...but I dont think they appear in the 'sales' x I know you can build them yourself but for really good results and decent heat levels I want really good reflectors etc....fingers crossed x
