some of you will know me from other forums (fori?). I'm me, a mother to 5, ages 20 - 9 and wife to a scientist. I've always been interested in a self-sufficient life but it's only in the last few years really began to work on it. I've always been one to keep things by "just in case" but it's been the last few years that I've really woken up to how fragile the systems we depend on can be.
My interests are: crafts (many), chickens, cooking, food preserving (I can and dehydrate) and many other things. I would like to have a smallholding someday and am keen to get a couple of house cows.
Dh and I shoot (air rifle) and go to the radio club - we have our am radio licenses but haven't got a kit yet although hopefully in the next month we will and then we will get on air. I took a beekeeping course but decided I couldn't really keep bees yet.
We home educate, go to church, listen to multiple genres of music and I like a tidy house but don't keep one.
