Picked Up A Bargain For The Winter

Post by CardiffGuy »

Evening All,

Whilst out today job searching, I walked past a TK Maxx on my way home and decided to pop in for a browse with no intention of buying anything.

However whilst browsing I blew a whopping £7.99 on the following pair of salopettes: -

They are quite thick and padded, upon getting them home, Im pretty pleased with the purchase.

Whilst they are a large and being rather big for me, the belt with the tighting facility sorted that out.

They also have a layer underneath as shown in the following pic allows what ever is being worn underneath to stay dry.

I had never really bought clothes before from TK Maxx due to the sizing however this pair of salopettes were something that couldnt be turned down.

Following on from my other post about socks/glove - sealskinz are on order however I'm now on the look out for a decent set of thermal's and winter jacket to keep me warm with this snow thats forecast.

Many Thanks

Excellent purchase.
I must pay a visit to TKMaxx.

Thermal undies - this are probably not the cheapest but a good place to start to get an idea about 'thickness' etc.

Nice find. :)

My local Aldi and Lidl still have some Merino Thermals for £8.99 a set.

wore them last December in -18 C was toasty.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Those kecks look great, well spotted.

I usually get my thermals from M&S but I thought I would try B&M's for £1.99.

Not too bad. As an extra layer they do work. Not quite as thick as M&S but I wasn't expecting too much.

Great to throw in a BOB, GHB, or the boot of the car just in case.

Be lucky (and insulated)
