Aldi Cordless tools Rant -> Super Cheap 18650s
Re: Aldi Cordless tools Rant -> Super Cheap 18650s
I keep my lipos in a metal ammo box (ex army) with seal removed on tiled kitchen floor. Seal is removed to allow air to escape. It could possibly ignite the door or door frame, or skirting board. I only have one power tool one, an Einhell. Plus a few 18650s and three portable powerbanks.

I've done the same although in my case the tools were 14.4v or perhaps 18v but either way they worked ok on a car battery. I gave up in the end as it seemed neither one thing or the other , not mobile like a cordless and frankly inconvenience used on the bench and proper corded tools did the job better. I flogged all the tools plus chargers and dodgy batteries on ebay..
Mentioning eBay I've heard of people buying the batteries in Lidl on the rare occasion they are for sale and immediately putting them on ebay. I've also read that while in the UK there's no online option to buy the batteries some have brought direct from Germany.
