I need something which will allow me to hang my solar panel out of a window as I don't have a garden in this house. I suppose I could lay it flat over the hedge which comes up to the height of the window sill on the ground floor, but I'd be terrified someone stole it.
If TSHTF, panels will be gold dust and ripe for theft.
But also be concerned by how panels make powerful kites, as I discovered to my cost. Even weighing some 50 Kilo, a storm sent them cruising down the back garden and they came down heavy enough to do damage. I'd rule out laying or mounting it on a hedge.
Depending on size, consider hanging it inside a window?

Anyone have any experience with British Gas? We have both electricity and gas with them and they are offering solar panels, batteries and plug in charger in a deal just now.

A small obstacle for we ecoflow power stream owners..... as of 27 Aug, our inverter became non-compliant. No idea if/when it will re-comply
ECOFL/21128/V1

I have the same one Jenny. I just used the one in the example given. If it's denied, I'll cross that bridge then.
I've done all that is required to attempt to make it legal.
Ignorance is no excuse but I'll be using it (and scrubbing this post as well )
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.
