Hi everyone.
Kinda new to the whole idea not just the site. Husband has been dropping hints about it for a couple of years but only got me to understand how fragile our lives are a few months ago really. Really look forward to any tips or advice anyone may have. Hope its never needed but dont want to rely on that being the case.

Re: Hello
Just want to say thank you to everyone for the warm welcome.
I was already on-board with the idea but seeing the latest in the news with the riots/looting just made me realise how unprepared i really am. Figured that it may happen with oil/food shortages but never imagined it could all go so wrong so quickly over one person getting shot.

Re: Hello
That's what scared me - if it can go so badly wrong so quickly over 'nothing' what on earth would it be like if there was a food/petrol shortage or further economic problems..
And when I say 'nothing' I'm not intending any insult to anyone rioting over the death of whoever it was in London. I just don't think that the yobs we've seen looting/laughing etc are doing it over any concern for someone having been shot. I doubt whether they could care less.
Welcome by the way - I'm new 'ere too
