GeeGee ... I don't know how you've managed to cope with all that, I'm so glad you let the Yorkshire show, at least - but dear heaven, you'd think that they'd understand what they've been doing wrong after a couple of calls, and apologise properly.

Jansman ... that's very interesting! Still appalling, but recognising you and your skill. It gives you options - though it sounds like you may not be including that firm in your options. There are consequences to acting the way your "boss" did.

I received a message very late last night from my bosses wife. She is a company director. Turns out that they don’t want to lose me.

Why do they leave it till late on is it that they are trying to get to sleep stressing that there's no one to do all the graft in the morning and they are going to have ti pull their finger out and do some graft

GeeGee, I cannot believe what hubby and you have gone through. It just shows what ALL employers think of staff, truly. I hope hubby can be comfortable.
In three words I can sum up everything I have learned about life: It goes on.

Thank you for your good wishes. Just home from being jabbed. I was feeling really rubbish as I'd forgotten my mask and the man in front of me in the queue was VERY UNHAPPY to have me coughing behind him. So I slouched into the room to be jabbed and in making conversation told the nurse what happened. She reassured me and made me feel much better. It turns out she is one of the surgery asthma nurses, so I got a mini asthma review and some advice to up my meds again. Also she was one of those magic jabbers who make injections virtually painless!

I'm off to the city in a bit to look at a winter coat that I'm interested in. I've got too fat for my old one, can't zip it up! While I'm there, I'll have a look about to see if I spot anything useful.

Well done Jansman and GeeGee for telling crappy employers where to go!

Currently batch charging all torches / lanterns / power banks /anything else that will hold a charge whilst the power is still on  I mean whilst I have the time and the dark night's are coming

Most stuff is charged but all dug out and sorted solar chargers are working overtime whilst the sun's out
