Hello from South Wales

Post by valkyrie10 »

Hello from a very Chilly South Wales. It's great to see preparedness becoming more mainstream within the UK. I've been a preper for the majority of my life in one way or another... As an 8 year old I dug a fallout shelter in the back garden and stocked it with tins of beans appropriated from my mothers kitchen. This was during the cold war so I consider my Youthful paranoia to have been justified.

I spent the majority of the 1990's in blind ignorance before becoming concerned about the Y2K threat and making a half ar#ed attempt at stocking up. Fortunately nothing happened so my woefully inadequate preparations were never tested. Since 2003 I have been far more serious in my preparations and training, and although I still have a long way to go before I will feel truly prepared, I'm definately in a better position than 99.99% of the populace.

I look forward to reading the forums and hopefully contributing a thing or two from my own experiences
