Electrical cable is better though, closer to £5000/tonne

Quotes I keep hearing down this neck of the woods!!! People are amazed when they find piping out the garden walk away to the scrappy!!

I'm an electrical engineer by trade (well uni), if it's electric I can fix it
RF engineering
UAV design (its a hobby)
Metal work (I was brought up on a farm)
Carpentry (Hobby)
Cooking (Hobby)
Hunting and trapping (I was brought up on a farm)
Fixing most other things (I was brought up on a farm, you learn to fix everything)
Camp craft.
Anything with computers, any OS (z/OS to QNX and everything in-between)
I can cook/bake just about anything.

Thought I'd add my bit - I'm having a completely incompetent day so it'll be good to focus on things I can actually do!
Medical stuff - I'm a trained nurse and nurses are notoriously not great at first aid but better at nursing /infection control etc. Well, when I trained they did actually do infection control. Not so sure now. I've also done chiropody.
I've seen some very scary first aiders with dodgy ideas over the years, so I can keep an eye on what they're doing! ;)
Cooking - not bad, can make bread, jam, stews. I know a fair amount about vitamins/nutrition.
Gardening - yeah - I like growing herbs/fruits/veggies
Knitting - can do Aran jumpers. My sewing is crap however.
Crochet - beginners level, but can do blankets in granny squares

So that's it - when the shtf I can start a small community, all sat around wearing cabled hats eating jam butties with afghan blankets on their knees, and nicely manicured feet......Don't y'all rush now

SW_pheonix wrote:Some skills will give away what you have. For example saying you are a plumber generally says you have a Van/house/garage full of tools, copper pipe and various other goodies that can be used for survival.
So listing skills or hobbies in one place could give a nice shopping list for someone in the same way as letting people know you have a food store. Of course they need to know where you are, but that can be narrowed down with a bit of data mining.
My skills are data mining and burglary, see you tonight. ;)

Be lucky
