I collect BB Guns. I have loads hanging on the wall around my house. Wifey hates them but I think they look great.
I just wish they were real. I have my own mount design business so I created the mounts myself.
The Robocop mount has a cutout which surrounds the gun. This doesn't show up to well in the pic so you can't make out where the gun ends and the background starts.
Some are just cheap plastic but others are full metal and would fool a lot of people, especially if I ran into the local Post Office screaming "Give me the cash"
I have Baretta's, Glock's, MP5, MP7, G36c, AK47, P90, M16, FAMAS, Desert Eagle, Skorpion, Mauser, Sig Sauer, Ingram Mac 10 & 11, Colt, H&K, Shotgun and a few others.
Might help in a SHTF situation but only as a bluff. I also have a CO2 powered Waltherr P99 which fires pellets, I would not want to get hit by it but it doesn't beat a good 12 gauge.

I specialise in Unique Mounts but I have a framer I use who gives me a good deal on frames.
I started out doing memorabilia and have some great stuff in my personal collection but Ebay has all but killed the authentic autograph market with millions of fakes that people do in their back bedroom.
My personal collection includes The cast of the Wizard of Oz, Queen, Apollo 11, Princess Diana, Muhammad Ali worn training glove, Clothes from the movie Bandits, film props, and dozens of signed movie posters.

Luxor, 14 bore is smaller than 12 bore.

An elephant gun could be 4 or 6 bore if it were smooth bore but most such guns were rifled and in the larger sizes 0.450, 0.470 etc.

I have fired a 4 bore similar to that used by Selous for big game hunting which has a very authentic recoil. You would not want to fire it more than a very few times a week.

I agree the old weaponry such as long swords and pikes was the thing in there day, I trained fro two years with Schola Saint George at a club in London although i did not move up to sharp swords as the Armour was tooooo expensive ,but the tournaments fighting with the replicas made out of carbon or wood was really good fun to get involved in. they have an international web site http://www.scholasaintgeorge.org/
The point i am trying to get to is a broad sword is such a deadly weapon in trained hands that it makes a good back up if worried about personal security in a grid melt down, quiet too.
although a food store snares fishing lines and a cross bow makes compelling stock items too.
Interesting to read about the viking thing though might try and find something up here in the north as broad sword clubs are pretty sparse.
