58 water bottle + metal mug - where to get it?

Post by Technik »

I'm looking to get 2 of those 58 pattern plastic water bottles with metal mugs that would have holes for the S10 respirator straw. Where is the best place to buy them (cheapest) ? I was thinking of getting 1 plastic mug and 1 metal mug so I could boil water in the metal one and then pour it into the plastic cup, that way I wouldn't burn my lips. They should stuck nicely on the bottle (1 on bottom and 1 on top).
And maybe a pouch for it?

Technik i boil water in a crusader cup to make tea and its fine to drink straight away , no need to pour it into a plastic mug......unless you want to cook in the metal mug straight away.

I got mine at http://www.penrithsurvival.com/
the mug came with a removeable plastic lip so that you could avoid the lip burn after boiling!

PS I got my set from the military catalogue not the web site. you may need to email/phone for a set rather than indidual bits!

Thanks guys. I also found one here http://www.strikeforcesupplies.co.uk/in ... 17&from=52
I already have the Swiss Volcano Stove that comes with a cup but I wanted to have another one that would fit the 58 bottle and the Hexi stove.

I didn't want to open a new thread as it relates to this one.

Anyone know where can I get the drinking straw for the S10 <-> 58 pat bottle? Tried Ebay but no luck.

The drinking tube is built in to the respirator itself. If it doesn't have the built in tube then you either have an AR10, an SF10 or an FM12.

Not the greatest video in the world but this vid on youtube shows an S10 quite well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RkT4159f ... re=related
