hello all,
Hmmm, how do I start?
just jump right in i guess.
ok, i have been a prepper for a number of years,
i started by learning to grow food because like everyone who starts out with a young family there is just too much month left when the money gets low.
from there it was a short hop to learning to repair things myself, again to save money for the more important things.
after reading several books on survival related topics, the penny dropped on what would i do if the worse were to happen.
over the years, i have learnt many skills from seed saving to home dentistry, and homemade painkillers to producing my own off grid electricity,
despite this i know there are gaps in my knowledge base, so i hope to share what i have learned and to learn from others who have skills i lack.
btw, im in the southern part of the uk.
hello

Re: hello
thanks for the warm welcome
and sure, more than happy too.
which can be obtained from willow bark, use to treat pain and fever.
the leaves chewed up will help relieve mozzy bites
another source of salicylic acid can be obtained from Meadowsweet.
it goes without saying if i could get hold of proper pain killers then i would use those first,
the others i can make would only be used if nothing else were available.
everyone has skills, its just i have chosen to learn ones that i feel might be the most useful to me if i had to go it alone if the brown stuff hits the fan in a big way,You have a useful skill set there. I hope you will feel able to share some of those with us 'learners'?

the most easy one to produced is a form of home made asprin (salicylic acid)I'd be interested in hearing about your home-made painkillers. I assume this is some kind of herbal thing?
