240V USB charger

Post by Deeps »

I'm looking to pick the brains of you guys, I've been fannying around with a pocket organiser for when I'm away without a rucksack and I've got a small issue, I've got a charger for phones/power banks etc but its a wee bit bulky, I've seen these....

Does anyone have anything smaller or cheaper or whatever ? I'm not wanting to spend daft money but any inspiration appreciated.

I'd be wary of going cheaper - cheap import USB chargers can be rather dodgy.

I picked up one from Lidl or Aldi for about the same £3 or £4 several different colours, plugs in has 13A socket and 2 USB outlets, does the trick :D
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

I have a Mu folding charger. It's a bit expensive but properly made and UK safety compliant. As Peejay says, cheapo chinese stuff can be VERY dodgy (aka dangerous)

Cheers for the replies guys, I'll have a look at the Mu's, they're more slimline than what I've got and its the 'fatness' that's the issue. Any more for any more ???

Thanks for the pointer I've got a 'hydra' type plug somewhere, its from USB to pretty much everything (well everything that was current about 5 or 6 years ago) and I don't carry it with me, I'm very 'unapple' so get by with the standard connection for my devices. Those do look good though.
