Some more Berghaus side pouches to act as a modular set up:

Image

Green: Tarp and Hammock

Red: First Aid

Blue: Water

After a camouflaged one now to round off the set.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

I particularly like the colour coded system. Very useful for emergency situations. If you could get hold of a bright green you could have all your fire related stuff in the red and all your first aid stuff in the green.

I LOVE that they give the capacity as "Capacity: 2 x 75cl wine bottles" So much easier to visualise. I want to buy some from Endicotts just for the excellent description! :D

Depending on how refined your palate is, I've found the boxes easier to pack when going on safari, like you, I like the notion though. I've got a couple of the red ones that I haven't used for years and thinking about it, they probably would be a couple of bottles sized.

I was a big brute man today, grrrr, chopping up some wood for the stockpile, if I'd taken my shirt off I reckon Diet Coke would have been round to use it as their next ad.

Apart from that, I've been doing the usual dehydrating of things that we've got spare. Having a lean month so I've had to dip into my 'zombie' wine store instead of adding to it. Her Maj has been getting on with her seed plants and I reckon I'm a baw hair away from decanting the vino into another container and giving it a week to chill (cheers Jansman).

Minor things, I need to transfer my EDC powerbank to a hard container, that's twice now I've managed to run it down by putting the torch on by accident. I'll have a rummage to see what I can sort, I'm coming round to the idea of a metal tin but for me that's a bit to 'preppery' and 'un-grey'. What's a boy to do ???

Can you remove the torch switch? (Unless your planning on using the torch)
If your roughing it, Your doing it wrong ;)

Lack of planning on your part doesn't make it an emergency on mine

Unfortunately not, a 'double tap' of the on button turns the torch on, I might not actually take it out from 1 week to the next depending on what I'm up to (its not strictly EDC, I don't take it unless I'm going more than a short distance from the house which I only do a few times a week) and I don't check it. A hard case should sort it, I keep it in an old wireless mouse case so should be able to swap things around.
