IF you had unlimited funds what would you buy/build/create?

A warm cosy house up in the islands - maybe one of those Scandinavian kit houses, with land, a good boat , and livestock - and room for my whole family.

A sea fort and a helicopter. For my holidays.

An underground house like this but more hobbity for my main residence.

And an underground fortress for when there's trouble.

For other people, I would create a perfect healthcare system, where everyone was fixed and a perfect social care system to ensure everyone had friends and a role in society (unless they didn't want to, but I'd still check up on them now and again). I would pay everyone a good wage, thus ending the need for crime. To back this up, my prison system would be draconian.

I would create the funnest playgrounds in the world with climbing trees; slides; swings; monkey bars; huuuuge hills to bike/skateboard/roll down; things to jump off into big crash mats and pools; bikes that look like they race those mini-bikes on a track but actually they provide the power supply...

That's probably enough for now, the wealth has gone to my head

my thoughts are mirored in an island west coast, solar tiles and wind genny i didnt think geothermal good one tools welding mecanics stuff, gaz66 for the small jobs , ural 6x4 diesal, microlight aircraft or parachute with fan engine dont need a licence several stills for water, whiskey etc and biofuel ,blacksmith tools a 18 foot boat for fishing with outboard and a 26-36 ft yacht bemudian rig to go any where a large barge for delivering the lorrys like the salvage people have plenty of animals - sheep cows pigs, bees dogs cats young people ,kids seeds, gardening tools it goes on for ever dosnt it steam engine and/ or shire horses steel to make stuff ,wood like half a russian forrest etc,sound system good one music is very important to me and culturaly, instruments guitars fx devices, drums and drum machines, keyboards amps recording gear... I think a balence has to be struck with nature just because tecnology exists dosnt mean its bad how ever the planet is in such a state because everty one wants more plastic crap so I say use it till its gone then make do with natural things hand made acoustic guitar style its hard I like my fx pedals and my electric giutars tho,

Isle of Man would do to start with

Some well grown mixed woodland, a goodly bit of south facing hillside into which I could build an Earthship, good pastureland, eclectic mix of food animals (rare breeds), must have a spring or a stream or two, and to round it out, a handful of like minded people within walking distance for back up. We already have a couple of Land Rovers They're going to be essential when TSHTF, as are a pair of good solid horses.

my own estate on a hill in dorset somewhere, a few acres, double fencing, 2 entrances/exits with guard room at each, small orchard, normal farmyard animals chickens pigs ducks cows etc, a small wooded area with wild deer...

Main building constructed like a fortress, a small residential area in the main compound for my workers, friends family etc, 3 or more landy defenders, mostly 90's, couple of commercial vans, low height ones, all coloured dark... and obviously a nice car, for my pre-SHTF meetings

large bunker/complex under main building (just in case ) armoury, with shotguns, rifles and a few assualt rifles, just in case a few bows/crossbows and melee weapons, ability to reach the sea or river close by, so a boat, nothing overly grand... 2 helicopters, one being a blackhawk or huey would be nice, but a lynx would be good.

only connected to the modern world via a gravel track, and connected with a fibre optic phone line. own mulit fuel generator, with under ground storage tanks with different fuels and water in. direct line to the fuel company, so if we use over a quarter a compnay automatically fills it back up (up until TSHTF)
