Hello all

Post by Beards »

Hi all,

Hope your all well!

I'm new to this forum, found the link from survivalistforum where I frequented the UK section mostly, as I find a lot of the rest of the forum is about who has the biggest gun, etc and want something more relevant.

I have always had a big interest in camping, walking and loved watching Ray Mears as I was growing up.

Currently Living in East Yorkshire, but love travelling across to N.Yorkshire/Cumbria and Scotland.

I look forward to hearing from everyone.

Morning from East Yorkshire :D

Yes Smiley, we do have a 'little bit' of snow - over a foot at the moment. It's becoming a royal pain in the a**e now to be honest :x Nil chance of Mr Tesco man coming with my shopping so it looks like I'm going to have to head out on foot as I used all the bloody cat litter trying to be a good neighbour and help people out of the snow yesterday - snow's up to the top of wellies and it's bad news if you mistakenly step of the kerb without realising - flippin' waterlogged!

As Itsy said, we are having alot of snow at the moment. I'm kind of enjoying it as work has been closed for the last couple of days, however, people have started panic buying - in my local the que was 5 times aslong as normal at that time.

The main worry in the area is that tonight and tomorrow night, temperatures are looking at plummeting way below freezing, so it could be majorly icey.

I was fairly lucky as I had my "big shop" delivered on Monday and the last couple of days just had a slow walk out getting the odd thing.
