Ideas on Cleaning Out Water Containers

Hi all thanks for taking the time to read my post

i have orderd a few 25L water they have a greasy feel to the inside from whn they
are made , any ideas how to rid this befor filling up for storage many thanks

Not sure, but are they food grade??

Get some warm water in there with plenty of washing up liquid. 1/3 full and plenty of soap. Swill it round well, empty and rinse. Repeat. Use a long bottle brush to scrub the top, inside. Empty and rinse. Then fill with cold water and add a good glug of thin plain bleach. Leave an hour or two and empty. Don't rinse. Then fill with fresh water and store in the dark.
I store in those kinds of barrels, they're fine.

A good handful or two of rice swished violently around inside will also help getting any residue off.
