Hi
I know that ebola is not supposed to be airborn transported i do have issues with this if someone decides to spit or sneeze all over me. In that respect i have heard that the ebola is 0.8 microns in size and I am looking for a mask that will filter this out .
Do you guys have any recommendations ?

If your roughing it, Your doing it wrong
Lack of planning on your part doesn't make it an emergency on mine

What Andy says ^^^
Alternatively, disposable FFP3 respirators and a full face shield with brow guard - with these you can dispose of the respirators and the face shield is easy to disinfect/decontaminate.
With the full face masks, you must ensure that they are fully disinfected and decontaminated after each use and you need to be careful whilst doing so that you do not contaminate or infect yourself during the process.
For those not trained in the proper cleaning and decontamination of PPE, disposable equipment may be better, but you still need to take care during its removal and never ever reuse it.
As for Ebola not being airborne, it isn't, BUT......... if an infected carrier sneezes and you inhale the infected micro water droplets, then that is a route to infection.
The best defence however is to simply separate yourself from potential carriers.

thanks guys.
I am also on a budget and am not up on decontamination techniques as well so the disposable route is probably the route i will go. I will be down to my local screwfix asap

I'd be careful using face screens as they will still permit droplets round the sides and from above you can get gas tight goggles but indirect ventilated are more freely available

Disposables still require careful management, but you do not have to clean them, just remove very carefully and dispose of safely.gyxile wrote:thanks guys.
