EDC kit for the car

Hi,
Just a quick first post from myself. Been looking at various ideas online for an EDC kit for my car and have brought a couple of things together that I think I needed for my use. The kit I have at the moment is:
Bottled water 750ml
LED torch plus spare batteries
Small Multitool
Pack of cereal bars
First aid kit x2
Wipes
Pain Killers
Old Hoodie in the boot
In car phone charger
Hand sanitizer

Thinking of adding a few more additional items including: Clipper lighter, Chocolate bars, foil blanket and a folding spade.

What's everyone's opinions on this and what do you carry if any?

In mine you'll also find:
WD40 for things that won't move, which should.
Duct-tape for things that move, which shouldn't.
Plastic strips.
Plastic bags (trash bags) for trash and keeping stuff together.
20L (less can do it) Fuel can (filled )
Extra window washer fluid.
In the winter timer i also have a snow shovel and some tire traction thingies (not chains) if i get stuck in deep snow.

I'm considering engine oil (with a funnel that fits) and a small compressor (12V) and flat tire fix kit (in addition to the extra tire).

That's a great start, everything you've listed is in my car too - I have a head torch and a nice big Maglite in mine though.
I also have a folding shovel, some jump leads, a tow strap, a warning triangle, a reflective coat, a change of socks, nuts & raisins, some glo sticks (good for tying to the kids in the event of a breakdown!) a small battery powered radio and a pack of lithium batteries, some large heat pads (a potential life saver) a compressor from Halfords and some tyre weld....
Erm, and some other things, im sure but I cant remember...

Good list there. Very similar to what I put in Daughters car, as she works out in the sticks. Personally I would put in a waterproof coat and a hat. Simple I know, but it is crap when you are on an embankment on the M1 waitin' for the recovery wagon in the pi** ing rain. I have been there. I could suggest a space blanket, but you have a boot. Put a proper blanket in. Again, a static traffic jam , in Winter , on the M1, is cold when you have to turn the engine off. Good to have a phone charger in there too.

Thanks for the extra ideas guys much appreciated, definatly need some way of pumping up the tires and a boot tidy for it all maybe??

Yeah I think a waterproof jacket or small waterproof poncho would be a good thing to include..

You dont need to splash out on a 'boot tidy' I use the tesco bags-for-life. They hold alot and stand up well.

Hi Guys,

I think a JetBoil stove would be good here. They [ack into themselves, are small, but the ability to have hot water for drinks / soup / food, or melting ice, or whatever, packed down small but always ready, I don't drive, but if I did, I would have a jetboil!!!

You need to carry more water than that, 750ml is just not enough, minimum should be 2l

If you don't want to carry a stove take food you can eat cold like beans, stew etc backed up with 'quick energy' food like chocolate.
