A calorific count up

Post by Hillybilly444 »

Out of curiosity I totted up the kcals in our tinned and dried food stock today...was dismayed to reach a total of only 25000...enough for 2 people for 6 days, based on approx. 2000 kcals per day  (I didn't include what is in our fridge/freezer, already "on the go" or in our 72hr BOB). This afternoon I added a further 12000 kcals to stock...that's another 3 days...on the plus side our dog has enough food for 3 weeks

If it comes down to it, a little side salad and I'm sure the pedigree chum will be tempting after watching little fido stuffing his face for two weeks :)

Better quality meat than a big Mac .. years ago I worked at a cold store who auctioned stock..and pedigree chums buyer was prepared to bid more than the golden arch man.......
If your roughing it, Your doing it wrong ;)

Lack of planning on your part doesn't make it an emergency on mine
