Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I've been reading around the forums for a while now (I've found some amazing tips, thanks) but thought I'd post this link.
I'd been doing a bit of Christmas shopping for my son's pressies on Amazon and as I was going to check out I noticed this link to an "add on" buy for a Draper multitool/pen knife.
At £2.25 with free delivery I thought I'd give it a punt, I ordered two, one for me, one for my wife to put in a little EDC pouch I've been putting together for her, at a total cost of £4.50 (Not like you needed me to add that up for you!)
I wasn't expecting a great deal of quality, but they arrived today and I was massively surprised. I've owned a couple of proper Swiss Army knives before and I can't tell that much difference. The SAK will no doubt be more durable, but for £2.25 you'd be mad not to. Real solid stuff. Could make a nice stocking filler for the other preppers in your life.

I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

Ive tried these sorts of things and they look great - just like their expensive brothers. BUT when you come to use them you realise they just aren't up to the job...
What counts is the quality of the steel used in these things.
I've bent and broken many multi blades and have always reverted back to either:
Swiss army knife (legal and multi-perpose)
Leatherman (differing varieties).
Gerber (differing varieties).
