I am in a similar situation that i am on a low income and only recently started to take prepping a lot more serious, i think of things in my bug out bag that i think would be usefull but for what scenario i am unsure, i have packed a windup radio with a list of all local radio station frequencys taped to the back, a wind up torch, a few lighters and a small can of lighter petrol. Sleeping bag, waterproof trousers, 2x 1 metre square tarpaulin sheets which i bought in tesco for a £1 which i just thought would be handy, painkillers and inhalers, Water bottle, couple of mess tins, a few ration packs 20 metres of parachord which i bought off ebay for a couple of pounds i guessed that with the tarpaulin sheets would make a great shelter, and some water purification tablets

I guess i too need some advice to make sure i am not adding stuff that is useless but so far thats what i believe i would need.

To be honest, everything you need to know (without sounding big headed) is on the forum.
Just take some time to read through the sections.

We have covered prepping on a budget, what to carry in a bug out bag, what are you prepping for and what do you need. We have lists upon lists, ideas, suggestions and some damn fine advice from people who have been there and done that.

So enjoy and if you find that there is something we haven't covered then please ask.

£15 will get you 100 tins of potatoes at tescos. £6 will get you 5Kg of rice. £2:99 will get you 2Kg of lentils which you can cook or sprout.

learn how to make a "wood gas stove" or a pepsi can alcohol stove (from youtube)

Thats a start for you guys

Never heard of the sprouting of lentils thing before but just found a quick webpage which explains things fairly simply

Looks like something else i might be giving a go

Hiya Guys
The search-engine is your friend, both on this site and the net in general
However, if you can't find something ask. The only dumb question is the one never asked

I'm big on community, one guy might not have 100% of the answer but a hundred people might have 1% each

The other bit of advice...... Don't try and do it all at once, but try to be better prepped then you were yesterday. Prepping is a journey not a destination
