making water safe to drink

Post by seve7n »

hi guys,
as a future prepper in the making ;-) , i have been reading the forum for a while now and theres so much info to take on.
Recently started a list on the phone, and one of the first questions i would really appreciate to be answered is , how to make water safe to drink ?
whether it be from a spring source / stream / river / lake / collected rain water (water butt ect) or even a water res' . i have confused myself with so much trying to take it all on, even at a slow stready pace may i say, haha. I just seem to not be able to get my head around this question

thanks in advance for any time and info given :-)

cheers

theres loads of videos on youtube on this .
you could boil it for a few minutes then let it cool off .
or theres the chemical treatments that are available , water purification tablets found in army ration packs .look on ebay for these .
simple home made filters using sand and charcoal .
look for a lifesaver bottle or some thing along those lines .

just give you a few idea`s

All of what unsure say's. But most people go for the water tablets as they are easy to use and carry or a drop of bleach( an eye dropper is great for meauseing this our) but these will run out over time so learn the filter and boil methord as well. There is also the UVA methord a glass or plastic bottle, tin roof and 6hours of sun shine this of course only works in a uk summer

I wrote out a long post, but it didn't make a long of sense (my dyslexia is playing up today)

Go Here and read this, it tells you what you needs to do then we'll tell you how to do it.
