Fruit going moldy on my trees
Fruit going moldy on my trees
Any one else experiencing a really bad summer this year for fruit growing ? I have plums, figs, apples and peaches going bad still on the trees ?
Re: Fruit going moldy on my trees
It is not unusual, the plum trees we have and an apple are experiencing mould. One reason to store food, in case of SHTF. You can see why the old timers feared famine when the harvest was due.

I've noticed this too. We have tons of brambles growing down the side of the lane by our house and also some yellow raspberry canes.
With both it looked like we were going to have a bumper crop but much of it has gone mouldy in most cases before its had a chance to ripen fully...

For trees selective pruning should be done at the correct time to improve sun penitration and airflow (that and a fungicide spray if you need it)
If your roughing it, Your doing it wrong
