Hi to all,
I'm by no means new to prepping, I've been doing it since I was 14 so let's say well over a decade.
I've had a lot of military experience and I like to think its set me in good stead.
I'm on here to exchange ideas and give advice and receive criticism.
I'm a minimalist prepper I believe if I can't live without it I take it.
If I can build/ make it, I will.
As far as concerns go....
1. Economic breakdown
2. Civil unrest
3. Utilities failure
4. CBRN

I'm always up for meeting to exchange ideas and have a little practice.

I trawled something up on the internet years ago called "naked into the wilderness" in which a couple of chaps went off ( not that far from home as it happened) and tried to survive with nothing but the clothes on their backs, the naked bit was in reference to the extreme scenario in which nothing was exactly what you may have , not even clothes , thankfully no bare bums and dangly bits, just shelter building, trapping, fire making, stone tool making, all done with resources to hand.
I think you would like that, most of us are way too materialistic to contemplate the bare bones approach, part of the bug in strategy for me is avoiding the complete head f*&^ of being forever torn between "I don't want to/can't carry all this crap" and the certainty I'd be thinking " I wish I'd brought more of that crap I didn't want to/couldn't carry"

That's a fantastic point. I will go on abit on here about bug out in a minimal way but don't doubt for a second if I'm bugging in everything bad everything I can stock I will.
But yes I do love bare bones approach.
I done 2 weeks survival in Norway we started with an ice breaker so everything that wasn't waterproofed was piss wet through and it was only -10 Celsius so we all felt the benefits of waterproofing.
