Hello from Worcestershire

Post by Bad Wombat »

Hello All.

This is my introductory post. How did I find this site? Well I've been lurking for quite a while, and it's now so long ago now I can't remember!

I've been interested in prepping since the UK government first dropped a copy of "Protect and Survive" through the door. But it's not until seeing those crazy guys in the USA on the TV, and then finding this site that I'm beginning to see a broader more measured approach to prepping. What will I be prepping for? Power cuts are the first thing, simply because we get quite a lot of those where I live. As a result of reading this site, I've now got plenty of torches around the house, a good stock of candles, a small gas stove, and plans for the fireplace that currently houses a gas fire. I have been working away from home for the last few years, so the car now has a few items that should take car of warmth, food & water if I were to get stuck overnight. Things are changing though, as from now on I will be working mainly from home, which is a great improvement.

Hobbies: I try to play some sport for fitness, mostly Badminton, sometimes table tennis. I hold a firearms certificate and regularly go target shooting at my local club. Computing & tech are both my means of income and areas of keen interest. Reading matter is usually science based non fiction.

That'll do for now!
