My new car GHB

Well decided i needed to sort my car stuff out since the weather is set to deteriorate....

ive tried to cater for the stranded over night on a snow covered motorway and the ability to walk home from work if needed


anyways....

one Tesco rucksack

a 4 season sleeping bag Vac packed to save space and keep damp off it when in the car boot all winter.....

a full change of clothes (underwear, socks, thermals, t shirt, hoodie, black combat trousers) Again vac packed

MRE kit in the plastic box contains this with a few high energy gels and bars puritabs matches mangesium and flint striker and a bic lighter etc

Theres a orange survival bag

a breathable bivvy bag

a tarp and elastic cord to make a basha

Gloves / hat

Water proof breathable trousers (need to order a new jacket)

3 pk glow sticks

head torch

mess tin

hexi stove

Uco lantern with 2 candles

all packed away

the bag for £20 even has a rain cover

and a nice padded and vented back

the only thing i can see missing is a decent pair of walking boots .thats assuming your not all ready wearing them .
if my change of job come off , then i can see me doing the same , as i work about a mile from home now . theres no need of one but this new job , if it comes off would be about 15 miles from home and thats a fair walk in any weather .

I wear hiking style safety boots for work (they are poor mans goretex and thinsulate lined) so that is covered :) (i also have a old pair of goretex boots at work incase my feet get wet)

will go start the car and use the 12v kettle :lol:

just need a cup of some sort might get another crusader cup to replace the mess tin

and a new pack lite style jacket but have my work fleece and standard high vis rain coat in the boot anyway



car has its own bag some bits are interchangeable between kits torches and the like ..

well , ive got to sort my self out now . my change of jobs happens in 2 weeks .so i need to get my kit sort out .
so `im thinking :

energy bars .
water proofs
dry socks
spare phone
head torch
spare batteries
couple of bottles of water .

am i missing anything . for what could be a good 3 to 4 hour walk home in any weather .

boots will be on my feet , high leg water proof to a degree work boots . i say water proof ,, leather work boots with enough oil soaked in to them to help .
