Good Evening all
Ever since I was a child, I've worried about how I'd cope if the SHTF. It was when I became a father 2 years ago, next doors house went up in flames last year (no structural damage, thankfully!) and the floods this winter that I finally switched on to Prepping. I knew there was a US movement, but had no clue there was a UK contingent there for advice and information.
Spent some good time over at http://www.ukpreppersguide.co.uk reading up on at least one persons perspective, just found this forum tonight so I thought I'd lump in and say Hi.
So... About me: I live in Nottingham, have lived and worked over most of the North of England. Originally from the North East, have family throughout Durham and North Yorkshire (guess where I'd bug to). My partner thinks I'm Nucking Futs, but if one day we are better ready to face whatever SHTF then I'll take that.
Have fun!
Mallie

Welcome
I visit Nottingham regularly, it might be good to catch up over a beer in the Bell.

Yay! It's rather strange to feel good about a message in my Inbox telling me my "post has been approved"
Thanks for the initial welcomes, all definitely welcome!
Re The Bell... Not spent much time in the city centre other than visiting Waterstones, but a quick Google shows it's the oldest pub in Nottingham. Would be a crime not to put in a visit.
Take care everyone, have fun and be good!
