Anyone any ideas where i can get this done can the average Mr Timmson soles and key cutting chain of stores or local cobbler manage to do these?
the heel has just warn through and become to come away the boots are in great condition bar the sole seems a crying shame to bin them and they are like slippers
Thanks in advance

I've got a tame cobbler near me, I dimly remember him telling me he trained on army boots
I'm not sure how local he'd be to you though, I'm Norfolk based

Have a search for Vibram Sole replacements
http://www.lancashiresportsrepairs.co.u ... epairs.htm
Its a fairly easy for a competent cobbler( a dying art)
Loved mine and so did most of my unit , until some bright spark told them to use boot polish on them , boom £200 boots dead goretex stuffed with wax

Re: sole replacement on matterhorn boots..
Well that was a shock they phoned up today saying they had done them less than a 5 Day turn around
Very impressed not an identical Vibram sole but as close as can be (no rapelling grip in the bit between the heel and the sole front but Meh) least they have grip now
My "slippers" are back if im not at work i live in them
Got told any problems and fetch them back and he would sort it and a surprisingly friendly chap
