Hi from Aberdeenshire

Post by Davesdad »

Hi all,

I have been into camping and minimalist camping (bashas) for some time. I have been interested by the idea of prepping for the last couple of years but haven't really done anything beyond looking through websites and carrying a grab bag in the car.

My wife is now also interested and keen to start prepping (its amazing what some well placed quality eotwawki fiction books can do). So I am looking forward to putting to use some of the great info on the site.

Welcome Davesdad.

Great to have you on board. I on the other hand still need to get the family on board. For now I'm the nutter and ''Do you really exspect the SHTF. How is this possible? We live in a first world country ...... bla bla bla'' ! So I have a plan in place to do it stealthfully.........like taking the boys 'bushcrafting' (BOB) and having winter emergancy rations (about 6 months lock down supply and another 12 months basics)

You have to start somewhere.

Welcome again bud

Hi and welcome to the forum. I used to date a girl up that way and its a beautiful part of the country. you have a lot of open wilderness up there to help guild you in the right direction for gear. As the winter is coming and iv been stuck up there before with the frantic snow storms you get i suggest a hat and a scarf to start!!

Good to hear from you
