G'day

Post by pjzxr »

This is the first time I've posted on a forum [BTW the "L" key is a bit iffy, so bear with me folks]
Live in the East Midlands, in a small village(hurrah), but stradding a trunk road(boo {the village that is not me!!}
Mentally been prepping for years, planning what I'd do if TSHTF. Probably influenced at an early age by the TV show "Survivors" back in the 70's, but did nothing practical about it.
My wife ,totally out of the blue, suggested that we start securing ourselves against a collapse of either the food chain, the utility supply or both.
Fitted log burner stove to living room, we're getting a wood burning range cooker for the kitchen, which will aso power the hot water and central heating. We already have a 2 plot allotment, and the front and back gardens are full of fruit and veg too. Amazing what you can pack into a 3 bed semi.
Protection has also been addressed, :twisted: won't go into that here tho'.
Have a small petrol gennie (1KW), but making room for a 5KW diesel unit in the garage. Also got 400 tea ights as a back up.

K, that's enough for now.
