New to the forum, and prepping....

Post by Asila »

Hello I'm female with 3 children (5,3&3) I'm new to prepping (as in brand new, so far just investigating prepping and other preppers.) my thoughts so far is I need to make some personal life changes before prepping for my family can even be viable... I am always interested in the thoughts of others, and like to be among friends (my partner and family think I'm nuts...lol)..

Thanks for having me

Oh I believe I'm area 2 (Hampshire) so am always interested in local events..,

Thanks all....

Sam I suppose I believe that it's best just to be prepared for anything, and for everything...
You can never truly know what's coming, and even if nothing comes we can still learn to be better people....

Having said that, sometimes when I talk about prepping and people start to give me that (what are you talking about look) I tell them I'm prepping for the coming zombie apocalypse....

Hi Asila, welcome to the forum.

Needing life changes sort of sounds pretty far reaching, I hope it will be as positive for you as possible. What *might* still be possible while you're doing that is the prepping that comes from collecting knowledge - a set of bookmarks, a folder of articles, the study of maps of your local area to see what resources there are, what plants can be foraged locally, what hidey holes there might be in case of a rioti erupting (don't know where you live, or how likely that is, mind you!).

I think you mis-understand my meaning of life changes..... There is nothing far reaching

I think choosing to be a prepper is a life change, you need to look at how you live and see where to go forward..

Currently I'm very overweight and have the fitness level if an eighty yr old, so this is where I must begin my prepping..... With myself,

However this will not come overnight and is a long road..

So whilst I'm doing this I thought joining a forum of like minded people might give me incentive and perceptive.
