You need to upload a picture to something like Flickr or Photobucket and then use the 'Img' button...... Or you could send it to me and I'll sort it
What were they designed to be used for ?

1Micron looks to be Dialysis grade. I think if you can utilise them, then they are worth keeping hold of.

I think most of the water filter now go down to .2 or .3 micron. I know the Katadyn pocket water filter is.
Area 7
Re: water filters
i was thinking along the lines of using them to remove large particals , like grit . then either treating with water tabs or boiling it to make it safe .

Re: water filters
1 micron should remove most things short of virus
I'd use a course filter (fabric, fine mesh, coffee filters...Something like that) to remove the stuff you can see and then these to get a lot of what you can't.
Whats your surface water like? Mines got loads of nitrates and other agrichemicals in it

Re: water filters
i don`t know about surface water , theres a couple of ponds near by and a couple of streams , not forgetting the brook . the brook stinks and i`m very doubtfull if its drinkable at all not forgetting the usual puddles on the garage roof .
catching rain water isn`t realy an option for me as my drain pipe is at the front of my home unlike most , i can improvise with a fishing brolly and bucket if needs be and then force filter it .
