mogs wrote:So far this week I have picked up a few bits from a bidding site. I bought a small, lightweight tent, a bag a bog and the special bags! some campfire cookware, bottled some more water, dehydrated some fruit and added some tinned goods, I have picked up some more pallets from local building store (needs chopping and de-nailing!) have also planted some seeds for tomatoes and onions, fingers crossed they grow, im useless at growing things!
Oh, and I have talked my OH into getting me a Ghillie kettle for valentines  after all Im not one for flowers and chocolates!

All in all I think Ive been a busy bee so far and its only Tuesday! good times!
Ghillie kettle are great when camping, but keep in mind they take up quite a bit of room in your pack.

Thanks very much, I am going for the 1L one but expect it to be a bit big, luckily though am not planning a BO alone but if the space in either packs are best used for something else it would be left behind

If circumstances permit, you could always tie it to the outside of your pack? I always did that with cooking stuff - mess tins etc - when I was in ATC :)

Hi just thought I would share my Daily Preps....Just completed six 2000 calorie ration packs. Until I get a vacuum sealer the packs do require water, i know what some of you are thinking but hey if you can't get enough water to make cous cous.....you are already dead !!

My packs contain.

1 x Pasta & Sauce
1 x Cous Cous
1 x Noodles
2 x Cup O Soup
1 x Instant porridge (only requires water)
1 x small KitKat (other chocolate bars are available) :)
1 x Lunch box pack of Raisins
1 x packet of dried Fruit
1 x pack of mini Biscuits
1 x Hot Chocolate or Cappuccino
4 x Sweeteners
1 x Coffee & Whitener
4 x Tea Bags

Regards
