Yeah the HW97k is ment to be a real fantastic rifle my main reason for BSA was the weight and price they BSA is just a lighter rifle and that's what I was after really.
I was unsure at first about the synthetic stock I'm a fan of beech stocks but feeling the BSA I can tell it will last forever it is really solid.

Let me know how you get on with the XL Tactical have had a go with one at the FT club nicely sculptured stock, still like my wood - wanted walnuit but when i bought my gun it was a rare as hens teeth. Have alway fancied have a go a building my own custom stock .......one day.
What flavour is yours .177 / .22 / .25
Fancy having a go on a 1/4 incher (.25) esp its fac rated!
How about something for a woman with CFS, a springer is too much for her (I know we could do it for her but she wants to keep the illusion of normallity as much as she can) so something light and reliable? Plus whatever else you need (not keen on CO2 in all honesty)
Many years ago the BSA Supersport carbine .22 was my choice for me and I don't regret it, but I hadn't used it enough or had another yardstick to compare it with to recomend it
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

The club has a Air Arm 200 pcp compact and light - plenty on 2nd hand market as people up grade to the 400.

apparently he doesn't know the law 22rf is not suitable for fox according to the Home Office guidelines for the police. .22rf is woefully underpowered for fox.
