Ohhh I have one of them too I have a custom carbine 200quid airgun that bargain price at 35 Chinese guns can be a little hit and miss on good ones they will benefit from a good strip and clean re lube with a decent gun lube and it frees up a touch more power

I fitted mine with a 3-9x30 scope with solid rails did the above stripped and cleaned the stock back to bare wood and e oiled with boiled linseed and it shoots and looks like a gun worth twice as much

If you need any help with it give me a shout

For me it has to be a springer. The BSA Meteor is one I own, and I have dropped a LOT of bunnies and pheasants with it. It looks like hell, scratched etc. but it does the biz. Open sights too.
I started out with an Original 45, all those 30 years ago. I do not think they are made anymore. It had a recoil pad! And boy I killed some game with that- until I bent the barrel!

It's such a useable gun mine shows its age quite a bit too may have to give it a bit of an overhaul but I love the marks and dings its all part of the gun and I'm accountable for every single one as I'm the only owner lol

(pete) wrote:en I have a hand full of air guns both pcp and spring

For most power a accuracy it would be my hw100k but its pcp I feel a Springer is a much better route to go I have a reworked Chinese smk b2 its stock has been cut to a pistol type and the barrel and cocking lever shortened it fits in my bob and is ideal for close range rabbits and birds its power has been upped with some work but that's for me to know

The gun I would grab is my bsa meteor its small light full power performance and easy maintenance plus accuracy makes it the perfect weapon in a shtf case
I agree. The HW100 is a fine rifle. My spring gun would be the HW77 or 97.

I've not seen it yet, a friend of a friend's son was given it new but has hardly used it, so it has been sitting in the cupboard, at £35 its better than the £70+ they seem to sell for (oh yes ive been trawling gunstar), was looking at my friends Meteor this afternoon, good solid gun.

I'll let you know when i pick up the SMK XS15

For me it’d have to be my BSA lightning,

Will have had it 8 years this Christmas and never given me any trouble,
Had it serviced the other month new spring and seals and it was shooting at 11.7ft/lb. :D

Nice and compact too.

I love my Theoben Scirroco, had it about 20 years now ! Bad news is that they've just shut down so it'll be difficult to get spares from now on

I'm glad i started this one, so the other question i was pondering is (not the .177 or .22 battle of witts that seems to be on every airgun forum), does anyone put any stock in .20 or .25? :?
