Hello everyone.
I started prepping late 1999 for when the plans were to fall out of the sky due to the y2k bug, and had quite a good supply of food and water.
I then stopped prepping in Jan 2000...
The thought of prepping never left my mind however and now with a wife (who is on-board with the prepping idea) and 2 children under 4 years old we are starting to prepare for what we feel is going to be either the collapse of the Euro and all that will bring (ask the Greeks), a collapse of infrastructure due to electronic attack or solar flare etc, or any other national/international conflagration.
We have been living with the hope of ''it will all work out ok'' until now, which is simply the wrong attitude.
Anyway, our draw back currently is living in a 2 bed flat, trust me when I say there is no space to keep what we have, let alone add to it, and the fact I lost my job in Jan this year due to the economic downturn after 12 years with the same company, so money is tight as well.
Therefore we are concentrating our efforts on bug out plans/locations with food stores on route, survival skills, etc.
Any advise welcome and would love to be in touch with people from the Nottingham area.
Thanks.
