We had to look around for tinned spuds, which I didn't expect to have to do, but eventually found them at Lidl. Now if I could only find some tinned burgers too! It's probably been done to death on here somewhere, but where the hell can I find tinned burgers? We practically lived on them camping in the 90s but they seem to have disappeared.

Other preps to do this week:

Assessing the medical supplies. We've got a fair amount in, but I'd really like to make sure we've got a good medical kit in.

The biggie this weekend is sorting our cellar out. We're lucky to have a decent cellar with a couple of rooms; one quite small but with shelves and one that's bigger that we use for storing wood for the stove. I'd like to get it all swept out and painted over the next couple of days so I can put my stash of food and water down there where it's nice and cool.

And forgot to add that today I learned to make fire with a battery and steel wool. And tomorrow I''m going to try it out and see if I can actually do it!

And.... I've been learning about hay box cooking, so on Sunday I'm going to try a beef stew. Results to follow.

We are still on the food and provisions for short to medium term bug in, Frey Bentos tin pies £1 a throw at asda so I got a main meal for us all for one more day there, other than that it's the old used one buy two if we can afford it, on stuff that keeps, and I have been making bread, something I need to practice... well thats my excuse, Tiger bread is a step up from just getting by
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

Order 30kg of Banana flavoured protein powder, also picked up 60kg of oats as its getting colder so I'll be eating a lot more porridge. Other than that picked up four SOG Flash Tanto knifes for future trade and maybe gifts for friends for birthdays and such.
