Huh! Just checked and the price has gone up by £5 since this morning! There's inflation for you!
Aw crap! I was going to order one too!!
The discounted one was Amazon and they seem to be out of stock so it's an independant seller now. Maybe when they come back in stock Amazon will still have 1/3rd off ;)

My daughter is helping me can apple butter this afternoon.

This evening I hope to order our radios!

Also this is not buying or doing per se, but we didn't do a grocery shop last weekend and are trying to only use what we have in the house this week. I pointed out to the kids that one reason they may not like the powdered milk they've been using is because it is skimmed milk powder and we don't normally buy it. I suggested they mix some of the Nido with the skimmed milk powder to see if they like it better.

Bought 3 1l Kilner jars today in Sainsburys, shelf price was £3.50 each yet they went through the till for £2.79 each, now that is a till difference I like, usually its the other way round. Now I have never done preserving well only once years ago and a disaster, so want to try again, can I use the jars for this or should i just use them for storing dry goods?

Are these the ones with the two-piece lids? One flat, disc part and one screw band? if so, yes you can use them. You don't even have to have a special canner, you can use a stockpot as long as it is tall enough - for items that can be water bath canned, that is.

Hi Prepareathome, if you are making jams or pickles, you can use kilner jars, both the swing tops and the ones with a two part lid. Have fun making and eating your preserves, I really enjoy it, and love seeing all the produce on the shelves. As for the price difference, I would have gone back and bought some more, I only ever buy jars on offer/sale. :)

Ask them to order you some. Or if you have a Morrisons, they sell them cheaper.

Did it ever have the recall work carried out? When they converted jeeps to right hand drive they neglected to reinforce the chassis properly at the point the steering box attached. Might be worth following it up. I'm not sure exactly which model and years it affected but knowing jeep probably all of then ;)
