😂😂. Yes, purple sprouting broccoli and in the other have three smaller baskets with Pak Choi, will also corry a kratky method outside to increase yield, we really have been battered by the gastropods this year then flipping caterpillars 🐛. 🤬🤬

Everyone does appear to think I’m growing a strong smelling herb in the tent, I’m not even though I had a go at growing tobacco as well.
I tried a few bits in kratky a couple of years ago with mixed succes. The mini tomato needed a much bigger reservoir but basil loves kratky as did lettuce. I still managed to get some bugs on plants. Pests seem to get everywhere. :x

Just bough a few pairs of Mechanix SpeedKnit cut resistant safety gloves. They seemed like a bargain for £2.99 per pair plus £4.95 delivery.

They should come in hand when sawing and chopping fire wood. :D

Arzosah, tobacco is actually easy to grow, there’s a few online places in the UK that sell a big variety of seeds, mines still growing in the now cooler, wet Cumbrian hills.

Spent a fair few hours at the allotment. Coaxed MrJJ to make some slightly raised beds. Dug over and then planted 100 Onion sets and some more garlic. Plot flew through inspection this month and is starting to look well tended and cultivated. Hope to be growing lots of staple foods by spring.
Started some herbs in the kitchen window. Tomorrow intend to thoroughly prep my growing beds in the garden, weather permitting. I also have my eye on harvesting all the leaves falling off the trees in my street for composting and mulching.
We have a named storm due, so I'll be checking and maxing out the ballast on my solar panels.

This was a bad year for critters eating my strawberries, and leaf miner ruining some onions so I'm investing in nets and sowing many more of everything.

I saw them on the In-Excess website. They have several different pairs of Mechanix gloves for sale at the moment including the expensive padded ones too.
