Hence a larger demand.

Petrol shortages could happen here pretty soon. After April 10th. I think there's a JPMorgan briefing on it. That's the date Gulf oil is forecast to run out.Yorkshire Andy wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2026 1:20 pmThat and payday weekend for manyGeraldTheBonzai wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2026 12:26 pm Was down in Salisbury last week, and the Tesco petrol station was only using two pumps, so had to queue. Fuel cans are full and have been since before the tanned idiot started his “excursion”
I’ve been adding to my stores of tinned food and bought about 30kg of rice and 15kg of pasta recently.I have also bought in 1500ltrs of compost in preparation for some veg and salad growing this year.
Need to sort out some firewood either to process myself or buy in cut and split but that’s becoming expensive.
I personally think this year is going to be financially tight for everyone.Especially as a result of the oil issues and damaged infrastructure in the ME thats going to take years to rebuild.

Cracked open the Lavender oil in my bugout bag. Added a bit to the lavendar in a sock with my wool duvet (put away til next winter). Also added a bit to some paper towel, and put it in my clothes drawers. To deter moths. I've never had anything moth eaten, touch wood. I had some cedar blocks, but they are a few years old, and probaby no use now. You can sand them every few months, for a few years, but I didn't know that until now.

Health preps for me this past week.
I've done my prostate and have my general bloods at home kits.
Today i ordered at home bowel screening.
I have all of these scheduled for annual checks
Solar PV is increasing so i have reduce my night time battery charge to 40% now rather than a full 100%.

Ordered some varnish and a brush to touch up some damage to the floor in the front room. My general household spending (excluding groceries) has been a bit high the last three months - I need to reign it in and start saving. Mostly it was related to the decorating, or finishing touches like a plant and new light shades. Also the garden plants. All those little things add up to about £1,000. The decorating itself was a few grand, so I'm pretty skint. I paid for the decorating with a loan though, so as not to blow the last of my savings, which I want for emergencies. So the plan now is to build that up a bit.

Just done my bi-annual dance with Virgin Media to get my broadband price down.... With a win at the end of a long day of haggling between them and BT.
