SAS Survival Handbook

Post by theScepticalPrepper »

I want to buy a copy of the famous SAS Survival Handbook, I know it's currently on it's 3rd edition published in 2014 which includes an urban survival section, but there's a number of different versions and it's not clear what the difference is between them.

For instance, there's:
SAS Survival Handbook: The Definitive Survival Guide
SAS Survival Handbook, Third Edition: The Ultimate Guide to Surviving Anywhere
SAS Survival Guide:The Ultimate guide to surviving anywhere

So we have 2x survival handbooks (a definitive and an ultimate) and a guide with the first one confusingly using both the words handbook and guide on the cover. They all look pretty similar but have slightly different names and price points and online bookshops don't usually include enough information to allow you to play spot the difference.

I just want a decently up to date edition, but I'm confused about what to get, can anyone enlighten?

They all say they are written by Lofty Wiseman so I suspect they're essentially the same.

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

I’ve got the original in the prepper library box, and a pocket version now falling to pieces in one of the rucksacks.
