Are you officially retired now Jansman? Hope that your health is improving after your recent illness and it's a lovely feeling when you are able to help family out from your prep store.
What Preps are you doing this week? Part 9
Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 9
Growing old disgracefully!
Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 9
Oh wow! That's a big deal, did something precipitate it? I thought you kind of liked your boss?

Long story, but I won’t stand crap from kids a third my age. My wife, a part time teacher ( who started as a shoe maker)is the same.We are not rich, but not poor either. I’ll say no more.Arzosah wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 7:24 pmOh wow! That's a big deal, did something precipitate it? I thought you kind of liked your boss?

Least you didn't do what my dad did at 64 years old and erm deal with his bully of a boss using his fists leaving him slumped in the back of the shop
Dad had kept a diary of the arguments , name calling, and bullying he took it to the joke shop to sign on to get his "stamp" paid .. originally they put him down as
gross missconduct / sacked ... He objected someone more senior came out read several pages crossed gross missconduct out and wrote constructive dismissal..
His boss got in touch threatening plod. Dad told him to bring it on and that he defended himself and erm bring it on the job centre have seen my diary and the police will too... Not a Dicky bird since

Oh I bet that last item felt good Jansman - I did that once as well. Life is too short when you're ill to waste on running around killing yourself for a boss.

So true! If you betray yourself by letting other people cross your lines, you end up in a very bad place. Respect to you, jansman.GeeGee wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 9:02 pmBang on same thing happened here today .. must be the day for itdiamond lil wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 8:57 pm Oh I bet that last item felt good Jansman - I did that once as well. Please tell me you used a few choice Yorkshire words in doing so

No Medusa. Not retired. I am up out of bed at the usual time unfortunately!
I am feeling quite well if I am honest - I think the medication is helping
I received a message very late last night from my bosses wife. She is a company director. Turns out that they don’t want to lose me. I have sent a brief reply telling her I will contact herself on Monday. In the meantime,I have two former colleagues who want a bit of help ,so I think I will take a week and plan a varied part time job that suits ME.
We had a visit yesterday from my wife’s very, very best friend who lives in Australia. She is over rather briefly because her elderly dad is very ill and she needs to see him whilst still alive.
We will see…
