Might be a good idea, i've found the one i use regularly for my earplugs is getting a bit of wear on the threads, so worth keeping an eye on, but the emergency one on my keys is nice and tight, that said, for how often it's going to get opened maybe a bit of silicon sealant/PTFE on the threads to keep it nice and secure.CraighR wrote:Would it make sense to use some PTFE tape on the threads to stop them opening by accident? I agree that having a selection of notes is always handy, i've found bunging/gifting someone an extra fiver or two when they've looked after me on something gets me remembered and well looked after whenever i go back. though to be fair if i ever get a 'tip' i'm far more inclined to help next time too!Brambles wrote:I have mine in a little padded wallet the council were giving away for disposing of cigarette butts or chewing gumI have a tenner, a fiver and another ten in assorted coins. Works with other things as well though, i've had fresh veg, fruit, wood and tools given as a thanks for a job well done and it always seems a bit more personal than cash, especially something home grown/made.
