Welcome to the forum, what kind of things are you prepping for ? Have a rummage through the various threads and see what catches your eye, there's a wealth of knowledge on here.

Welcome to the forum! As Deeps has said, what are you prepping for? The list gets longer, the more that's in the news ...

Hi guys thanks for all the welcomes I am going to be prepping for smaller stuff initially like getting stuck in the car in snow etc even though I live in Wales and it rains all the time flooding is not really an issue as I live at the top of a hill so if there's water lapping at my front door it's a serious catastrophe! lol I have access to 4x4's through my work plus a range of 6x6 arc' and tracked atv's so I'm covered with vehicles are concerned. My father used to be a tool maker and blacksmith so looking to learn some new skills off him.

The main areas I want to concentrate on as I am completely clueless is bushcraft skills and foraging skills I used to be in the scouts but haven't lit a fire for years and never with flint or sticks etc.

Hopefully there's people local who like to meet up and have an explore.

We have 4 acres of forest next to a canal that we don't use so looking to get the family out there and have a play with bivvy's and fires etc

Avoiding floods would be an excellent prep then :)

And ooh, foraging, I love foraging - there's so much that's possible. https://www.eatweeds.co.uk/ This guy isn't a prepper as such, but he's a forager, and a modern book on it is The Forager Handbook, by Miles Irving.

HTH, no links to me, etc.
